Running Year-End Rollover
Year-end rollover promotes your whole student roster into the next session at once. It's a separate permission from Manage Fee Structure, deliberately — it's a bigger, rarer, higher-stakes action than day-to-day fee editing.
Running the wizard
Go to Fees → Year End.
Either adopt an already-prepared draft session/term, or let the wizard create one.
Review the per-student promotion decision for every student — promote to their class's designated next class, or mark them to repeat.
Override any individual student's decision as needed.
Preview the fee-copy readiness for the new term before committing.
Type the new session's exact name to confirm, then run the rollover.
What happens in the background
Rollover runs as a long background job. It's resumable if it fails partway through, but cancellable only at the very first "started" step — once it's progressed past that, you let it finish or resume it rather than cancelling outright.
Gotchas
Fees101 guards against double-running — only one rollover can be in progress for your school at a time. If you've started one, you can't kick off a second until it's finished or genuinely abandoned.
The type-to-confirm step exists because this action touches your entire roster at once — there's no per-student undo once it's run, so the preview step is worth reading carefully before confirming.
