Printing or Re-Sending an Invoice or Receipt a Parent Says They Lost

A parent saying they lost their invoice or receipt doesn't need a new document generated — it needs the existing one pulled up and sent again. Generating a fresh invoice is for a different problem (stale or incorrect numbers), not a missing copy of a correct one.

Pulling up the document

01

Find the student's invoice — from Money → Invoices (search by name or admission number), or from the Invoices section of their own student profile.

02

Open the invoice.

03Choose View PDF or Print invoice.

Both buttons open the exact same generated PDF in a new browser tab — "Print invoice" isn't a separately formatted file, it's the same document, left for you to print from your browser's own print dialog.

Re-sending it to the parent

The invoice page's main action button is label-aware, so you don't have to remember which one to pick: it reads "Send to parent" if the invoice has never been sent, "Resend to parent" once it has, and "Send receipt" automatically the moment the invoice is fully paid. Choosing it sends a real SMS (plus a PDF by email, if an address is on file) exactly as the original send did — there's no limit on how many times you can resend the same document.

Send receipt only works once the invoice has nothing left outstanding. If a balance remains, Fees101 rejects a receipt send and tells you to send the invoice instead — in practice you'll never see this, since the button itself already decides which of the two to show you based on the current balance.
