Emails Fees101 Sends You and What They Mean

If an email from Fees101 lands in your inbox and you're not sure whether to act on it, find it here. These are staff/owner account emails — not the invoice and reminder emails your school sends to parents, which is a separate system.

About your own account

  • "[Name] has added you to Fees101" — you've been invited as staff. See Accepting a Staff Invite and Setting Your First Password.
  • "[Name]'s invite to [School] expired" — sent to whoever invited a teammate, if that teammate's link expired before they set a password. Resend it from Team → Users.
  • "[Name]'s Fees101 login was locked after repeated failed attempts" — sent to the school owner after 5 wrong passwords in a row on any account. Unlocks itself in 15 minutes; only act if it wasn't really that person mistyping.
  • "Your Fees101 login email was changed" (two versions, one to the old address and one to the new) — sent the moment an admin changes a teammate's login email. If you made the change (or asked for it), nothing to do. If you didn't expect it, contact your school's Fees101 administrator immediately — this is the one email in this list that's worth treating as a real security check.
  • The password-reset email (no fixed subject shown here since it comes from the standard "Forgotten password" flow) — see Logging In, Logging Out, and Resetting Your Own Password.

About your school's Fees101 bill

  • "Your Fees101 bill is due" — your school's own platform bill (what you pay Fees101, separate from what parents pay your school) is ready to transfer. Only sent to schools paying by bank transfer, not direct debit.
  • "Your Fees101 bill is now overdue" — the same bill, now past due. Transfer soon to avoid suspension.
  • "Fees101 billing suspended — action needed" — the bill went unpaid long enough that the account was suspended. See Account Suspension for Non-Payment (Platform Billing) for exactly what's restricted and how to get back in.

Schools on direct-debit billing get an SMS for these instead of an email, since the whole point of direct debit is that nothing requires a manual transfer.

About your school's own contact details

"Confirm the contact email for [School] on Fees101" — sent whenever the School Profile's own contact email is set or changed. This confirms Fees101 can actually reach your school; it's not a login and doesn't affect anyone's ability to sign in.
