Platform Billing Basics (Fees101's Own Fee)
This is Fees101's own fee, charged TO your school for using the platform — separate and unrelated to the fees your school charges parents. It's an owner-only area, since it involves your school's own payment authorization.
First-time setup
Accept the clickwrap terms.
Pay a one-time, non-refundable setup fee (₦10,000 by default) through a Paystack hosted checkout.
This same checkout also sets up a reusable direct-debit mandate for your ongoing subscription charges.
Ongoing billing
You get 65 free days from the moment you connect, after which billing is ₦500 per active student per month.
Bank-transfer fallback
If your bank doesn't support direct debit, the hosted checkout fails hard, or there are two transient soft-failures on the mandate, a bank-transfer fallback unlocks automatically — this uses a Fees101-owned virtual account instead of the mandate.
Switching between mandate and DVA
You can switch between the two methods later, owner-only. Switching to the mandate triggers a small ₦50 token charge to verify the authorization — unless a still-valid prior authorization exists and can be reused instead.
